Honey for the heart

Torus Heart Honey was inspired by an oxytocic state when reunited with my daughter after our longest period of time apart. Local raw manuka honey blended with the highest quality powdered heart loving herbs makes for a drizzly, sweet, tart and slightly mysterious purple river of joyful, soulful earth medicine to strengthen and uplift both the emotional and spiritual heart.

Herbs in this formula:

  • Hawthorn berry: antioxidant, cadiotonic and widely utilised for heart disease, circulatory disorders, angina and to reduce degeneration of blood vessels. Hawthorn has an equalising effect on both high and low blood pressure and can be called on to uplift and strengthen the emotional as well as the physical heart.

  • Hibiscus: Rosella, as it is commonly known, is sweet, astringent, a rich source of vitamin C and gives this honey its tart flavour. Rosella has been found to aid in reducing high blood pressure and as a cooling and sour herb is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to clear heat from the body, soothe irritated tissues and help with digestion.

  • Pink Rose: infamously aromatic, cooling, anti-inflammatory and antidepressant. Physically, rose supports heart health and blood pressure. Energetically, rose can stimulate vitality in the spiritual heart and nourish connection through opening communication, honouring authentic feeling and compassion to ourselves and the world around us. It’s also believed that the wound healing qualities of rose can be felt both physically and emotionally.

  • Ginger root: stimulates blood flow and energy. Historically considered an aphrodisiac, I’ve included just enough ginger to balance the coolness of the other herbs and to drive all their qualities deeper into the systems of the body.

Local raw manuka honey takes the medicinal potency of this formula to the next level, providing a vast array of nourishing and system supporting elements. Antiviral, inflammation modulating, antioxidant and antibacterial; honey has traditionally used for wound healing, soothing sore throats, preventing tooth decay, and improving issues in the digestive system.

125ml

Ingredients: Crataegus monogyna^, Hibiscus sabdariffa*, Rosa centifolia*, Zingiber officinale*, local raw Manuka honey. [^Wildcrafted, *Organic]

Suggested use: The only limit is your imagination. I’ve been enjoying this honey on toasted sourdough with lashings of butter and nut butter, on top of yogurt, in smoothies, as a warm milky drink, in my rare but cherished cacao, straight off the spoon for a little burst of magick, and I’ve even tried it out as a face mask and loved it (honestly amazing).

Shelf-life: A conservative estimate for potency - consume before 6-12 months. Stored well, an electuary’s shelf life could extend beyond this (but I doubt you’ll be able to make it stretch that long - it’s delicious!) Store away from moisture and direct sunlight.

NEW ZEALAND RESIDENTS - please note that raw honey is a restricted item in your country and will likely (and has been) confiscated at the boarder.

Torus is otherworldly except it’s not! It feels like it should be, a magic potion. I made some dummies with it after seeing that photo but can’t bring myself to do anything more with it than have secret spoonfuls hiding myself away in a corner or the kitchen. Seriously though. I’m going through some transitions and thought I was doing well but I cracked opened wide and moved to tears several times now, things just moving through and I’m sure its because of the honey and Tulsi. I’m amazed and humbled by the power.

I’m facing some struggles, frustrations and moments of transition. Your Torus Heart Honey just arrived this morning and I had a spoonful about 30 minutes ago and I can already feel my mind and body soften. Thank you for the beautiful medicine, it reached me just at the right moment.

Duuuuude. It’s so damn tasty. The perfect blend of honey and floral vibes. My only regret is not getting the bigger jar.
